Scope of Project:
Brayman finished this project for Duke Energy in the fall of 2000. In all,
73 fifty-four strand anchors were installed; 70 of which were located on the dam’s spillway. Stringent water and alignment tests were required for each of these 12” holes. Thirty- 3” drain holes were also drilled throughout the length of the gallery. In order to counteract future predicted maximum flood events, Brayman extended the East bulkhead wall, and placed 35 precast concrete panels on both the East and West bulkheads. |
