Scope of Project:

The scope of this project includes the furnishing and installing 23 each post-tensioned rock anchors. All anchors are restressable and one will be installed with a load cell for long term monitoring of the anchor performance. The anchors are being installed to provide necessary stabilization to the dam structure. The dam, which has been owned by the city of Columbia since 1965, was built in 1925. The project is being funded by Columbia Power and Water Systems and the Duck River Agency. The reservoir behind the dam serves as the water supply for the City of Columbia. Work is expected to be completed by December 2009.
